Yongnianwa Wetland Park

Yongnianwa closely surrounds the ancient city of Guangfu with a total area of 1,070 hectares. In December 2017, it passed the national review and officially became a national wetland park. Yongnianwa is also the third largest depression in Hebei Province after Baiyangdian and Hengshui Lake. It mainly includes two types of natural wetlands and constructed wetlands. Among them, natural wetlands include swamp wetlands and lake wetlands. The wetland park is rich in animal and plant resources, and its geographical location is within the mid-line of migration of migratory birds from north to south in my country. Every spring and autumn, a large number of migratory birds travel here for short periods of time. There are also a large number of summer migratory birds inhabiting and breeding here. Yongnianwa is the only typical inland freshwater wetland naturally formed in southern Hebei. It is also a national key flood storage area and flood detention area designated by the Ministry of Water Resources. At the same time, the construction of Yongnianwa Wetland Park has received attention from government leaders at all levels.
